Urbanisierung, Beton, Stein, verschwindendes Grün. Am zentralsten Punkt Berlins – am Alexanderplatz – steht das Haus der Statistik, das in den letzten 12 Jahren langsam zur Ruine verkümmerte. In einer Protestaktion besetzen Künstlerinnen das Haus, in dem in der DDR die amtlichen Statistiken gemacht wurden. Langsam erwacht das Gebäude aus dem Dornröschenschlaf. Der Film „Allesandersplatz“ dokumentiert den Zeitraum von Juni 2019 bis Oktober 2020, eine Zeit, in der sich Stadtverwaltung, Planerinnen, Kreative und Zivilgesellschaft zusammentun, um das Haus in einen lebendigen Raum für Kunst, Kultur und Soziales umzuwandeln. Gelingt es ein neues Konzept von Stadt zu gestalten – ein Ort, an dem alles anders ist?

A place for the curation of art, culture and social affairs.
