Haus der Statistik
Model project for urban development for the common good
The Haus der Statistik quarter will provide space for art, culture, social affairs and education, affordable housing, public administration and the town hall of the future for the Mitte district. After many years of vacancy, the site in the heart of Berlin is being developed in a cooperative manner for the common good – jointly by urban society and the public sector.
The aim is an inclusive and sustainable urban design that creates space for new ideas, co-creation and communal use – a lively place by and for everyone.
