Hierfür wurde am OTTO des HdS eine Soundscape Intervention in Form einer Klanginstallation entwickelt, die im Juli und August 2025 erlebbar wird.

In unserer Stadt wird es immer lauter und voller. Aber was tun, wenn klassische Schallschutzmaßnahmen nachträglich zunächst schwer umsetzbar sind? Können Klanginstallationen dabei helfen, den öffentlichen Raum angenehmer zu gestalten?

Our city is becoming increasingly noisy and crowded. But what can be done when traditional soundproofing measures are difficult to implement retrospectively? Can sound installations help to make public spaces more pleasant?
A research project at the TU Berlin is currently investigating the experience of adaptive and interactive sound installations in noisy urban spaces. For this purpose, a soundscape intervention in the form of a sound installation has been developed at the OTTO of the Haus der Statistik, which you can experience in July and August!
Open Installation:
▷ July: Wednesday, July 23rd and Friday, July 25th // 12 p.m.–7 p.m.
▷ August: Friday, August 1st, Wednesday, August 13th, and Friday, August 15th // 12 p.m.–7 p.m.
