Sculpting Inside ist eine hybride Performance in sechs Teilen von Aleks Slota und Florian Feigl. Ausgangspunkt für die gemeinsame Arbeit ist ihr Interesse an Black Metal, Bildern von Caspar David Friedrich und Landschaft. Naturphänomene, Noise und Nebel sind Impulse und thematische Referenzen der Performances, Installationen, Soundpieces und Videoarbeiten. Während sechs Wochen entstehen Performances an drei unterschiedlichen Orten. In jeder Präsentation aktivieren Slota und Feigl ihre Arbeiten mit jeweils unterschiedlichen Bands und Musiker*innen. Jede Präsentation ist singulär – ein Teil von sechs, die gemeinsam Sculpting Inside sind.
Ab 17.00 öffnet die Ausstellung mit minimalen Performances, Installationen und Soundpieces, die sich zu einer stärker konturierten Sequenz ab 20.00 steigert. Aleks Slota und Florian Feigl arbeiten für Sculpting Inside zusammen mit der bildenden Künstlerin Hanna Kritten und dem Videokünstler Christopher Hewitt.
Während der Performances kann es Sequenzen mit sehr lauten Sounds und sehr lauter Musik geben (Gehörschutz/Ohropax gibt es vor Ort) und Sequenzen mit stroboskopischen Lichteffekten geben.

Sculpting Inside is a six part hybrid performance work by Aleks Slota and Florian Feigl. Points of departure are their shared interests in nature & landscape, paintings by Caspar David Friedrich, and black metal. The live performances, installation works, sound pieces, and video works engage with forces of nature, noise, and darkness. Over a period of six weeks the durational presentations travel through three different venues each time featuring different bands and musicians whose performances are interwoven with the work of Slota and Feigl. Each presentation is singular – one fragment out of six celebrating the unique encounter of creative forces.
Audiences are invited to a full on experience of installation works, minimal performances, and soundpieces starting at 5 pm and ramping up to a more tightly knit environment from 8 pm on. Aleks Slota and Florian Feigl collaborate for Sculpting Inside with visual artist Hanna Kritten and video artist Christopher Hewitt.
Performances possibly include sequences of very loud sound and music (ear protection will be provided) and sequences with stroboscopic light effects.

Das Studio Ukraine ist ein Treffpunkt ukrainischer und Berliner Künstler:innen. Seit mehreren Wochen arbeiten sie an Ideen für künstlerische Projekte, performative Aktionen und Musik, die Teil einer gemeinsamen Ausstellung werden.
Ein zentraler Bestandteil der Ausstellung ist eine im Kollektiv entwickelte Skulptur: Eine stetig wachsende Teppichlandschaft, die sich über den Bürgersteig vor dem Haus der Statistik ausbreitet.
Zur Eröffnung unserer Ausstellung am Samstag, den 18. Juni, wird diese Installation zur Bühne für Konzerte und Performances. Mit vielen verschiedenen Kooperationen und Veranstaltungen öffnet sich das Studio Ukraine dann bis Mitte Juli einem breiten Publikum.
Jede:r ist herzlich eingeladen, an unserem Programm teilzunehmen und unsere vielseitigen Veranstaltungen zu besuchen.

Studio Ukraine is a meeting place for Ukrainian and Berlin artists. For several weeks, they have been working on ideas for artistic projects, performative actions and music, that will become part of a joint exhibition.
A central component of the exhibition is a sculpture developed by the collective: a constantly growing carpet landscape that spreads across the pavement in front of the House of Statistics.
For the opening of our exhibition on Saturday, June 18th, this installation will become a stage for concerts and performances. With many different collaborations and events, Studio Ukraine will then open to a public audience and the city until mid of July
Everyone is welcome to participate in our program and visit our diverse events.

Студія Україна – це місце зустрічі українських та берлінських художників. Протягом кількох тижнів вони працювали над ідеями мистецьких проектів, перформативних дій та музики, які стануть частиною спільної виставки.
Центральна частина виставки — скульптура, розроблена колективом: килимовий ландшафт, що неухильно розростається, що розкинувся по тротуару перед Будинком статистики.
До відкриття нашої виставки в суботу, 18 червня, ця інсталяція стане сценою для концертів та вистав. Завдяки різноманітним колабораціям та подіям Studio Ukraine відкриється для широкої аудиторії до середини липня.
