Gespräche – Videos – Workshops – Konzert

An vielen Orten in Europa wurde 2019 nicht nur an Prag, Sopron, Leipzig, Berlin erinnert, es wurden auch Lebensläufe, Perspektiven und Beziehungen erneut auf den Prüfstand gestellt. Wie steht es um die Freiheit in Europa? Was geschah mit den Mauern, Grenzen und Systemen, die 1989 verschwanden? Sind sie uns heute in Europa wieder nah, wieder präsent und spürbar? Wie wird der Geist von 1989 von der jungen Generation – 30 Jahre später – verkörpert? Zum Ende von 2019 wollen wir mit einem Mini-Festival im legendären Haus der Statistik am Berliner Alexanderplatz uns erinnern, austauschen, reflektieren, tanzen und feiern.

FREIHEIT 2019. Drei parallele Workshops:
I. Fight for your rights. DIY-Lab mit Verena Spilker, LGBT-Aktivistin, Künstlerin, Schriftstellerin (Berlin)
II. Wem gehört der öffentliche Raum? Mit Anton Valkovsky, Kurator, Kunsthistoriker (Wolgograd-Berlin)
III. Aktivismus 2019 –wo fängt er an? Was ist Aktionismus? Mit Daria Yakovleva, Aktivistin (Kaliningrad), Stefan Werner, Volksinitiative Klimanotstand (Berlin)

Talks – Videos – Workshops –  Concert

Not just in Prague, Sopron, Leipzig and, of course, Berlin, the year 2019 saw many people from all over Europe look back at the events of 1989. Perspectives and relations were put to the test again.  What happened to the walls, borders and systems that disappeared in 1989? Are they again close to us in today’s Europe, again present and perceptible? How is the spirit of 1989 embodied by the young generation 30 years later? 

At the end of 2019, we will eat, dance and celebrate, as we remember, exchange and reflect on those events with “Reflecting Europe”, a mini festival at the legendary Haus der Statistik at Alexanderplatz in Berlin.
